About the True Measure Collaborative
About the True Measure Collaborative
The True Measure Collaborative (TMC) was formed in 2015 in response to emerging charter schools’ commitment to providing the highest quality educational experience for their students, including those with disabilities. The TMC was envisioned as a resource and partner to charter schools, offering centralized expertise and resources that build on and enhance the collective impact of our partner schools. Launched as a collaboration between the Washington State Charter Schools Association, Seneca Family of Agencies, and the Puget Sound Educational Service District, the True Measure Collaborative currently has 8 member schools:
- Excel Public Charter School
- Green Dot Destiny Charter Middle School
- PRIDE Prep
- Rainier Prep
- SOAR Academy
- Spokane International Academy
- Summit Public Schools: Sierra
- Summit Public Schools: Olympus
Services provided by the True Measure Collaborative include:
- Support in the design of data-informed student identification and intervention, including the design of rigorous child find activities and the selection of research-based support strategies that offer students effective services at the most opportune points of intervention
- Induction and ongoing Professional Learning Community for schools’ special education leaders
- Identification and engagement of community providers interested in collaborating with charter schools in their efforts to meet the comprehensive needs of all students
- Partnership in monitoring and meeting state and federal reporting and documentation requirements
- Centralized and in-service trainings and coaching
